Port Scarburgh is a gated community with a total of 10 lots. Two lots have homes, the remainder are vacant.
The two lots for sale (Lot # 4 and Lot # 5) are side by side, and will only be sold as a single package . Both lots are platted (see below) and are approved to be built on. Both are waterfront.
Total frontage on the water is approximately 375 feet on Chesapeake Bay. The roads are paved and utilities are in and underground. Docks are allowed but are not installed. See pictures to get a feel for the beauty and peacefulness of the area. The town of Onancock VA. is about 6 miles away. Use GOOGLE Earth for a general overview.
History:
Four years and several million dollars was spent making Port Scarburgh one of the most desirable and exclusive private compounds on the Bay. Inside a grand private gated entrance there are just 10 lots, all 1 acre or more. Before the Real Estate downturn, the sales prices of the original two lots being sold were:
Lot # 4-- 1.20 Acres $ 429,000 .....and Lot # 5-- 1.3 Acres $ 469,000.
Today the reduced prices are: Lot # 4 $120,000 and Lot # 5 $190,000.
If you buy both lots together you will get an additional discount of $15,000 to $295,000.
The lots are clearly marked Lot # 4 and lot #5.
The pictures shown are good, but not sufficient to show these lots at their best.
Again because the community is gated , you will need a gate code to get in.
